Belgium has 2 major airports: Brussels Airport zaventem and Charleroi Airport (some call this Brussels South Airport).
Most regular airlines arrive at Brussels Airport.
All Ryan Air flights arrive at Charleroi Airport. Charleroi Airport is approx. 80km from Brussels city centre.
Brussels Airport (Zaventem):
Train: From Brussels Airport Zaventem into the city centre is a 25 minute journey by train.
Trains depart every 15 minutes. A return ticket costs approx. 6 euro.
Taxi: From Brussels Airport into the city centre will cost between 25 and 35 euro
During peak hours, there is always a queue for taxis and you may have to wait in line.
Brussels South Charleroi Airport (Ryan Air)
There are 3 ways to get to Brussels from Charleroi Airport: Bus, Local Bus / Train, and Taxi.
1. There is a shuttle bus departing from Charleroi Airport, arriving at Brussels-Midi Station. But we advise you to travel into the city by train.
2. There is a public bus (Line A) all day from Brussels South Charleroi Airport to the Charleroi-SUD Train station. You can take the train from here into Brussels. You can buy a "bulk" ticket at the Airport Disket desk in the Charleroi Airport. For 10,50 euro one-way, you can use the public bus (Line A) and the train.
3. There is a train leaving every 30 minutes from Charleroi to Brussels Central Station. (10h07, 10h34, 11h07, 11h34, 12h07...).
The train trip to Brussels takes approx. 50 minutes.
4. WARNING: a TAXI from CHARLEROI AIRPORT – to BRUSSELS CITY CENTRE (80km) will cost you approx. 90 euro.
Our advice: take the TRAIN or LINE A bus.

Going to Ternat:
Take the CR-train from ‘Brussels Central Station’ to ‘Jette/Aalst/Alost’ on platfom 1:
Brussels Central Station 7:09pm - Ternat 7:34pm
Brussels Central Station 8:09pm - Ternat 8:34pm. ( It’s a 15 minute walk to the venue.)
Going back to Brussels after the party:
Ternat 5:26 am - Central station 5:51

BY CAR:
Ternat is a 10 minutes drive from Brussels. From Brussels take the E-40 motorway in the west (Brussels to Ostend / Ghent).
Leave the motorway at Exit 20 Ternat, then turn left into the direction of 'Edingen'. After 500 metres, you'll cross the railways and immediately turn left. The name of this street is the 'Stationstraat'. Drive ahead for 1km and you can park in the centre of Ternat. |
